Providing the ideal big water set up, Shimano’s TX 7 is the powerhouse of its Tribal rod range as it is created to handle the most demanding of waters and the creatures that inhabit them. These Shimano rods have been built with strength and power at the forefront of their design as they can literally cast to the horizon!
The TX 7 is made from high-pressured carbon (HPC250) and bio-fibre material which when combined creates a beautifully slim and aesthetically pleasing blank. Despite the slender width, the blank is incredibly powerful and forgiving so you can have confidence with every cast.
Ideal for when playing carp under the rod tip, the TX 7’s carbon blanks create a very strong and stiff rod with a crisp recovery during the cast. This both improves accuracy, as well as the distance that you can achieve before the rod springs right back once the lead is released.
The Shimano TX 7 carp rod is incredibly light thanks to the thin bio-fibre construction but be rest assures that Shimano hasn’t cut any corners on the TX7s as they all feature Fuji reel seats, alongside Kigan Stainless Steel Zirconia guides which leads to an anti-frap tip ring. Guides are crucial on a powerful rod but with strength often comes weight, Kigan Stainless steel zirconia guides have been mounted onto the blanks, ensuring relentless power without an increase in weight.
You can be confident in taking the rod to the biggest of venues with it EVA grip handle that ensures you have strong grip even when the handle gets soaked by a splashing carp. The EVA handle is also combined with stainless, laser-etched butt cap that sets the rods off perfectly
There are five models in the TX 7 range so you can choose from a 12ft length with a test curve of 2.75lb, 3lbs or 3.25lb and the intensity options of 12ft and 13ft lengths. Both the intensity options have test curves of 3.5lbs+, ideal for when targeting scale tipping specimens! The rods are supplied in a cloth bag to protect them in transit.
In summary the TX 7's are powerful rods built for big fish waters.
